Bow Lake

Beautiful Bow Lake is fed by meltdown from the Bow Glacier, it is the principle headwaters of the Bow River. (the one we canoed) Bow Summit, at 2,087.9 meters, is the highest point along the route. Some describe this as the most beautiful part of the Rockies.

This lake is frozen for a good part of the year, it begins to thaw in June. We checked the water, it's still pretty cold.
Crowfoot Mountain, you could hear small avalanches of snow and ice rushing down the sides. It sounds like far off trains.
