At the beginning of the Rockies there wasn't a lot of snow.
The further we travelled the more snow we could see on the peaks.
We travelled on the Trans Canada Highway #1. There are two animal bridges on this highway and fencing on both sides of the road.
One of the most imposing peaks in the Bow Valley, is the bold southwest front of Castle Mountain. It dominates the view for much of the journey from Banff to Lake Louise. It was named for its fortress or castle-like appearance. At one time it was renamed Eisenhower Mountain, but was changed back.
The weather was beautiful and temperatures were between 23 and 28 degrees.
